Ali and Shehzad added 75 runs for opening wicket, which was then followed by another strong partnership between Hafeez and Shehzad, they added 115 runs for the 2nd wicket. For Sri Lanka, Lasith Maling, Milinda Siriwardana and Suranga Lakmal took one wicket each.
