Earlier, South africa Captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bat. Hashim Amla and JP Duminy scored centuries as the home side dominated all the three sessions of the day. Hashim Amla became the eighth batsmen in the history of test cricket to score century in his 100th test.
