July 14 (CRICKETNMORE) - South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat in the second test against England at Trent Bridge on Friday.

England were unchanged from the side that won the first test at Lords while South Africa made three changes. Regular captain Du Plessis, who did not play at Lord's following the birth of his first child, returned in place of struggling fellow batsman JP Duminy.

Fast bowler Duanne Olivier in place of Kagiso Rabada and allrounder Chris Morris for Theunis de Bruyn.
