Hyderabad, May 8 (Cricketnmore): India opener Shikhar Dhawan has said he is eagerly waiting to play in a day-night Test match as he believes this will play a big role in shaping the future of the game.

India may get a taste of pink-ball cricket later this year with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) looking to fix a Test against New Zealand.

"We are excited for sure,” Dhawan was quoted as saying by a cricket website on Saturday.

"I always believe change is always good. If things go well, it's a new thing for batsmen, for the bowlers also. It's going to be good to try our hands on the coming thing," he said, referring to the day-night Test.

Dhawan, presently featuring in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) for Sunrisers Hyderabad, played an unbeaten knock of 47 to steer his side home against Gujarat Lions in the last game.
