Melbourne, Aug 30. Cricket Australia on Tuesday said opening batsman Shaun Marsh will return home from the national teams tour of Sri Lanka with a broken finger. "Shaun suffered an injury to his left little finger whilst fielding in the match yesterday (on Monday)," the Australian team's physiotherapist David Beakley said in a release.

"An x-ray after the match confirmed a fracture and Shaun will now return to Perth to allow time for this to heal," Beakley added. Cricket Australia's national selection panel have confirmed that Usman Khawaja will replace Marsh in the squad for the two Twenty20 Internationals against Sri Lanka.

Khawaja is currently in Sri Lanka with the Australian One-Day International squad.
