Mumbai, Dec 11 (CRICKETNMORE) India's leading pace bowler Mohammed Shami and regular wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha were on Sunday ruled out of the fifth and final Test match against England because of their injuries.

Saha suffered a hamstring tendon injury in the second Test at Visakhapatnam of the series against England.

He is undergoing rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a release.

Mohd. Shami wasn't named in the ongoing fourth match in Mumbai.

"Shami has soreness in his right knee and has been advised rest and rehabilitation. He will be going to the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru, to start his recovery programme," the BCCI said.

The fifth Test begins on December 16 in Chennai. India are leading the five-match series 2-0.
