Mumbai, July 13 -  Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu was on Monday ruled out of the remainder of India's ongoing tour of Zimbabwe due to injury that he sustained while playing the second One-Day International (ODI). Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson will replace him.

India defeated Zimbabwe by 62 runs at Harare on Sunday to clinch the three-match ODI series 2-0. The third and final ODI is to be played at Harare on Tuesday. India is scheduled to play in two Twenty20 Internationals after the ODI series, on July 17 and 19. Rayudu scored an unbeaten 124 to help India win the first ODI.

"Rayudu pulled his right quadriceps muscles and will require two-three weeks of rehabilitation. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Sanju Samson as Rayudu's replacement for the remainder of the tour," the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur said in statement on Monday.

"The board medical team confirmed that Rayudu has been ruled out of the remaining part of the tour," he added.
