Karachi, Aug 7 - Police have started investigation into the firing on former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram's car, a media report said.

Police recorded statements of witnesses, got custody of CCTV footage and sent casings of spent bullets to forensic laboratory on Thursday, Dawn on Friday quoted officials as saying.

A gunman said to be aged around 50 years had fired shots at Akram’s car on Karsaz road on Wednesday after a road accident, which followed heated exchange of words.
