Rio de Janeiro, Nov 25 (IANS) Brazilian football legend Pele has been admitted to a hospital for the second time in less than two weeks.

The 74-year-old was taken to Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital Monday suffering from a urinary tract infection, reports Xinhua.

In a statement, doctors treating Pele said the three-time World Cup winner was in a stable condition.

Pele was discharged from the same hospital Nov 13 after undergoing surgery to remove kidney stones.

The former Selecao No.10 has suffered a long list of health problems in the past decade, including emergency eye surgery for a detached retina and a hip replacement.
