Kolkata, March 16 (Cricketnmore): A superb all-round display by skipper Shahid Afridi saw Pakistan register an emphatic 55-run victory over Bangladesh who finished at 146/6 chasing an imposing 202 in their World Twenty20 Group encounter at the Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.

Electing to bat first, Pakistan scored an imposing 201/5 with Mohammad Hafeez 64 off 42 balls top-scoring for the side, while Ahmed Shehzad with 52 runs off 39 balls and Afridi 49 off just 19 balls being the major contributors.

For Bangladesh, Arafat Sunny returned with bowling figures of 2/34 and Taskin Ahmed 2/32.

Chasing the stiff target, Bangladesh ended up at 146/6 with Shakib Al Hasan not out 50 coming up with a noticeable performance.

Afridi also shone with the ball taking two crucial wickets.
