Kolkata, May 25 (IANS) Ecstatic at the Mumbai Indians becoming the IPL champions for the second time, team co-owner Nita Ambani has admitted she had no idea of the game when the IPL began but now she loves the sport.

"During IPL one and two, I did not understand the game at all. But now I love this game of cricket and I love all the fans who come and support Mumbai Indians in huge number," said Nita after her team trounced Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday. 

With the Rohit Sharma led side making a remarkable turnaround after starting off disastrously, Nita said she started to belief of becoming the champions yet again after they beat Chennai Super Kings in the first qualifier to enter the finals.

"For us every match has been like a final as we had to win every match. But when we won the last match in Wankehede, that's when we had the belief that we can win," said Nita dedicating the IPL victory to the fans of the team.

Son Akash Ambani credited the players and the support staff for the win.

"We put a lot a lot of effort to make sure we had the right balance of team and have lot of options.A But nine wins out of ten matches is absolutely fantastic. Full credit goes to the boys and the whole team together,a he said.
