Napier, March 4 (IANS) Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said that Wednesday's 129-run win over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a World Cup Pool B encounter at the McLean Park here was much needed.

"That's a much needed win for us and obviously we won by a big margin. So, now we can just relax a little bit on the net run-rate also," said Misbah at the post-match ceremony.

Put in to bat, Pakistan posted a massive total of 339 for six, courtesy of knocks from opener Ahmed Shehzad (93), Haris Sohail (70) and Misbah (65). In reply, UAE ended at 210 for eight from their quota of 50 overs.

Misbah added that their next match against South Africa on March 29 in Auckland would be of prime importance.

"The next game is a very important for us and we need to focus on that," concluded the 40-year-old.
