In the latest developments, we have learnt that Mohammad Hasnain is set to replace injured Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2022. The Asia Cup 2022 will be played in T20 format from August 27th to September 11th. 

22-year-old pacer Mohammad Hasnain has represented Pakistan in 18 international T20 matches and has managed to pick 17 wickets. 

Hasnain will join the Pakistan team from the United Kingdom, where he's currently playing for Oval Invincibles in the ongoing The Hundred competition. 

While Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed and Usman Qadir will leave for Dubai in the early hours of Tuesday morning. These players will replaced Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha and Zahid Mehmood, who were part of the Pakistan 16-member squad against the Netherlands. 

Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign with the match against arch-rivals India in Duba on August 28th (Sunday). Their second match in the Asia Cup 2022 will be against the winner of the qualifier between UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong in Sharjah on Friday, 2nd September. The group stage will be followed by the Super Four which will be played from 3rd-9th September.

Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Shanwaz Dahani & Usman Qadir.
