New Delhi, July 17 - Indian cricket board (BCCI) General Manager for Cricket Operations M.V. Sridhar was on Friday nominated the tournament director of the 2016 World Twenty20 which will be hosted in India from March 11 to April 3.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the formation of the Organising Committee and designated several administrators for their respective jobs.

The 48-year-old Sridhar is a former first class cricketer who played 97 matches for Hyderabad.

BCCI Chief Advisor of the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) Neeraj Kumar will be the Director of Security and ACSU for the global tournament. Amrit Mathur has been appointed Principal Coordinator, R.P. Shah will be Tournament Manager - Finance while K.V.P. Rao, Manager - Game Development of the BCCI, has been appointed Manager for Cricket Operations for the event.

Nishant Arora will be the Tournament Media Manager while Mayank Parikh has been nominated as Manager - Logistics and hospitality for the event.

Ratnakar Shetty, who was the Tournament Director of the 2011 World Cup, has been appointed as an advisor to the Organising Committee.
