Agra, Feb 221 (Cricketnmore): Legendary cricketer Kapil Dev on Saturday played a round of golf at a tournament being held here alongside the ongoing Taj Mahotsava.

He said he was happy and proud to be playing golf close to the Taj Mahal at one of the really good grounds. Playing here would be a great experience for any player, he added.

The three-day tournament has been organised by the All India Amateur Golf Tournament Committee.

Uttar Pradesh Police chief Javed Ahmed, Inspector General of Police, Agra, D.C. Mishra and Divisional Commissioner Pradip Bhatnagar alongwith senior district officials joined Kapil Dev at the golf course inside the Circuit House complex.

A member of the organising committee said 170 golf players are participating in the tournament from all over India.
