Port of Spain, Aug 23 (CRICKETNMORE): India Test skipper Virat Kohli on Tuesday congratulated his coach Raj Kumar Sharma, who was selected for this year's prestigious Dronacharya award.

Kohli took to Twitter to wish his coach after Sharma was on Monday named along with three others for the award, which will be given by President Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 29.

"Congratulations Raj Kumar Sir. All the hard work behind the bigger picture never gets noticed. I am delighted for you on getting the Dronacharya Award," Kohli tweeted.

Apart from Sharma, gymnast Dipa Karmakar's coach Bisheshwar Nandi, athletics coach Nagapuri Ramesh and boxing coach Sagar Mal Dhayal have been selected for the coveted award.

The Dronacharya awards for lifetime will be awarded to veteran swimming coach S. Pradeep Kumar and wrestling coach Mahabir Singh. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs.5 lakh each with a medal and a citation.
