PBKS vs SRH IPL 2022: An interesting incident took place in the clash between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 as SRH captain Kane Williamson asked for the review just as the timer ran out, and yet achieved the wicket. This happened in the 5th over of the innings when PBKS youngster Prabhsimran Singh was batting against SRH pacer T Natarajan.

On the 5th delivery of the 5th over by Natarajan, the ball took Prabhssimran's bat's edge and went on to brush his pads, safely collected by wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran behind the stumps. However, none of the fielders realized that the ball took the bat's outside edge and all the fielders appealed for an LBW, which was adjudged not out by the umpire.

After this, SRH captain Kane Williamson took his time thinking of taking the DRS and the timer ran out, displaying 0 seconds as the Kiwi captain asked for the review. Nonetheless, the umpire referred it to the third umpire.

Upon seeing the replay, it came to light that the ball had took Prabhsimran Singh's bat's edge and consequently, the batter was given caught out instead of LBW. Almost immediately, Jonny Bairstow at the non-striker's end was fumed up and argued with the on-field umpire regarding the time Kane Williamson took to signal for the review. The young PBKS batter was dismissed after scoring 14 runs in 11 balls with 2 fours while opening the innings.
