The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 finished on Sunday where debutants Gujarat Titans clinched the maiden IPL Title after beating Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets. It turned out to be a low-scoring affair where GT completely dominated the game despite Rajasthan winning the toss and opting to bat first.

The Royals could only manage a paltry total of 130/9 in the first inning as Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya took 3/17 to break the backbone of Rajasthan's batting. In reply, Pandya scored 34 while Shubman Gill(45), and David Miller(32) finished the game in the 19th over to win the IPL title in their first attempt as a franchise.
