Gayle - "Yeah it was good. It was a great match and both teams played really well giving the fans a lot to cheer about. Obviously happy to be on the winning side. We kept losing wickets but at the same time we managed to score runs at a good pace. AB scored quickly and that helped me too. Morne put that chance down which was the luck we needed. It did close in the end but good to see the other guys finishing the job well. Looking forward to playing Chennai at home."

Man of the Match - Chris Gayle

Kohli - "That was one of our better wins in the tournament history. I am absolutely delighted to see Chris bat the way he has always done in T20. He is back to peak fitness, there were doubts on his fitness but he is doing well and showed what a world-class batsman he is. We are missing Starc and Milne which gives the younger boys a chance to prove their worth. Nothing better than starting with an away win. We probably gave away 10-15 runs too many but we were always confident of chasing it down. There wasn't much turn and dew also helped us later in the innings."

Gambhir - "I thought we had a good score on the board and we put on a fine effort. But Chris is too good a player and if you keep dropping him like that, he will make you pay. The bowlers tried hard but he was too good today. We played well all-round but in the end just couldn't get over the line."
