Feb. 21 (CRICKETNMORE) - Tamil Nadu’s left-arm fast-bowler Thangarasu Natarajan has become the latest success story of the Indian Premier League. Kings XI Punjab bought T Natarajan for 3 crore in the IPL 2017 auction held in Bengaluru on Monday.

1. Natarajan is eldest of five siblings. His father is a daily wage worker in a saree manufacturing unit while his mother is a meat vendor.


2. He is popularly known as homegrown Mustafizur for India due to his resemblance to Bangladesh’s pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman. Both are left hand fast bowlers.


3. He came into limelight after bowling six yorkers in a Super Over against Tuti Patriots during the inaugural season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League.


4. Till the age of 20, the had played only with tennis ball and had not represented either school or college in the game, and had not even seen a proper cricket ground.

5. In 2015, he made his Ranji debut against Bengal at the Eden Gardens.
