India is still 230 runs behind Australia's first innings score of 572. Captain Virat Kohli led from the front and scored his fourth century of the series.

He was unbeaten on 140 at stumps. He was well supported by youngster Lokesh Rahul (110), playing in only his second Test.
Suresh Raina (0) playing his first Test since 2012 fell on his first ball back while Ajinkya Rahane (13) also failed to make an impression.
