6th January, Sydney (CRICKETNMORE) - Australia dominated the day one of the fourth and the final test match of Border-Gavaskar trophy. Australia were 348/2 at the end of day one of the Sydney test. The highlight of the day was the opening partnership of 200 between Chris Rogers (95) and David Warner (101) who gave Australia the perfect start against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) here Tuesday.

Warner scored his 12th Test century while Rogers struck his fifth consecutive half-century but fell five short of his fifth hundred.

Smith (82*) continued his good form and along with Watson (61*) took the team score to 348/2 at the end of Day One play at SCG. 

Indian bowlers failed to impress and found to struggle throughout the day. They not only failed to pick wickets but also not able to control the Australian run-rate. Shami and Ashwin took 1 wicket each.
