Colombo, Feb 13 (CRICKETNMORE): Riding on Poonam Yadav's brilliant bowling, India thrashed Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier here on Monday.

Opting to bat, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 60 as Poonam took a five-wicket haul at the P. Sara Oval here.

Apart from Poonam, Rajeshwari Gayakwad scalped two wickets while Mansi Joshi and Soni Yadav chipped in with one wicket each.

For Zimbabwe Mary-Anne Musonda (26) was the top scorer while Precious Marange contributed 12 runs.

Chasing 61, openers Veda Krishnamurthy (29) and Mona Meshram (21 not out) forged a 31-run partnership before the former was sent packing by Marange in the fourth over.

The fall of wicket brought in Harmanpreet Kaur (11), who along with Meshram completed the formalities to hand a comfortable victory with 41 overs remaining.
