Brisbane, Dec 16 (IANS) Set for his Test debut Wednesday against India at the Gabba, pacer Josh Hazlewood is now well groomed for top flight cricket and ready for his big day, says former Australian cricketer and national selector Andy Bichel.

"He's ready now," Bichel said Tuesday.

Besides playing six One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for Australia and bagging ten wickets, Hazlewood has also come up with a brilliant show for his domestic team New South Wales (NSW).

"He's played some ODIs for Australia, and he did well for NSW in the back-end of last season in the (Sheffield) Shield games.

"He took that responsibility of taking more wickets up front and also coming back for the crucial overs when they needed a wicket. He's well groomed for Test cricket," the 44-year-old Bichel was quoted as saying by cricket.co.au.
