The 37-year-old was earlier issued a show-cause notice for his rants against ICC officials of being a little lenient on bowlers from specific countries.

Hafeez, however on Tuesday clarified before the PCB's disciplinary committee that his views were "misinterpreted".

After the hearing, the committee, which included PCB Director Cricket Operations Haroon Rasheed, Media Director Amjad Hussain and General Manager Salman Naseer, accepted Hafeez's explanation and declared the matter resolved.

However, Hafeez has been directed him to make a clarification in the media.
