Kolkata, May 24 (IANS) Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, on Sunday expressed sadness at his team failing to make it to the Indian Premier league final at its home Eden Gardens.

"Just realised how sad it feels not to see KKR at The Eden," SRK tweeted.

The Bollywood hero, who watched the match on television with his son Abram, extended good wishes to both finalists Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

"Especially with my lil son still screaming KKR watching TV. All the best MI & CSK," SRK said in the tweet.

KKR won the league twice in 2012 and 2014.
