July 6 (CRICKETNMORE) - England Captain Joe Root won the toss and opted to bat against South Africa in the first test on Thursday at Lords. For the first time since 1993, England will be playing two spinners at Lord's with Liam Dawson set to partner Moeen Ali.
Both Joe Root and Dean Elgar are leading their respective team for the first time in test cricket.
