New Delhi, Nov 28 (Cricketnmore) The BCCI on Tuesday announced the fixtures for the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals which will see first timers Kerala facing Vidarbha at Surat from December 7-11.

In the other last eight encounters, Delhi will face Group C toppers Madhya Pradesh at Vijaywada while defending champions Gujarat will take on Bengal in Jaipur.

A record 41-time Ranji champions Mumbai will face Karnataka in Nagpur, added the BCCI statement.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kerala became the first team from Group B to progress into the knockouts with an innings victory over Haryana away from home. The Dav Whatmore-coached team accumulated 31 points from six league games.

Group B leaders Gujarat beat Jharkhand by 10 wickets to end the league stage on 34 points, courtesy five wins out of six.

In Group C, a seven-wicket win over Odisha helped Madhya Pradesh join Mumbai in the knockouts. Mumbai thrashed Tripura by 10 wickets at home on Monday.

Karnataka and Delhi emerged easily from a lop-sided Group A while in Group D, Bengal drew Goa at home to join Vidarbha, who drew against Himachal Pradesh, in the last eight.
