Mysuru, June 16 (IANS) India Red romped to an eight-wicket victory over India Greens in a rain-affected match of the senior women's Challenger Trophy cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

Batting first, India Greens were shot out for 125 with left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad (4 for 25) and pace bowler Shikha Pandey (3 for 21) doing the bulk of damage.

Following rains, India Red's target was revised to 116 runs in 46 overs which they achieved in 31 with Poonam Raut (60, 87b, 8x4) leading the charge.

India Greens 125 all out in 47.4 overs (Shikha Pandey 3 for 21, Rajeshwari Gayakwad 4 for 25, Poonam Yadav 2 for 15) lost to India Red 119 for 2 in 31 overs (Sneha More 21, Poonam Raut 60 not out, Madhusmitha Bahera 29 not out) by 8 wkts, via VJD Method.
