In a recent press release by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, the venues for the upcoming South Africa tour of India were unveiled. Delhi, Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot & Bengaluru will host the 5-T20I series in June 2022.
The first T20I, to be played on 9th June (Thursday), will be played in Delhi. The second T20I will be hosted by Cuttack on 12th June (Sunday). The third T20I will be played at Vizag on 14th June (Tuesday) followed by the 4th T20I at Rajkot on 17th June (Friday).
The final T20I will be played at Bengaluru on Sunday (19th June).
India toured South Africa in the 2021-22 season for ODIs and tests, where the T20I series was scrapped due to covid related issues.
South Africa will tour India to play the 5-T20I series against India as part of the preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, to be held in Australia.
