Dhaka, June 6। Aiming to overhaul the national team's selection, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is looking to devise a two-tier process that will involve the team manager.

BCB president Nazmul Hassan, who said last Monday that the head coach would sit on the committee, said on Sunday that both the coach and the manager will be part of the selection committee, reports bdnews24.com.

"We have split the selection process in two parts… although it's basically the same but there's a twist. There will be a selection panel comprising three selectors. One of them will be chief selector and they will decide who will get in the team," Hassan said.

"There is another that we call selection committee. It's not that this committee will go around for team selection."

"Those I had earlier mentioned will also be on the selection committee - the three selectors along with the head coach and the team manager."

The selection committee will have six members - the three selectors from the selection panel, the coach, the manager and the head of BCB's cricket operations committee as its convener.
