Sept.20 (CRICKETNMORE) - An unbeaten century from wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow helped England register a seven-wicket victory over West Indies in the opening match of their one-day series at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Having kept Windies to a modest 204 for 9 in a match shortened to 42-overs-a-side due to a wet outfield at the start, England romped to 210 for 3 in just 30.5 overs.

The defeat is a big blow to West Indies Cricket as it will remain the ninth-ranked team at the September cut-off and will need to fight with Ireland and Afghanistan to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.
