Asia Cup 2016 trophy was unveiled by the captains of the participating nations in Dhaka on tuesday. The tournament will be played in Bangladesh between 24th February to 6th March. This is the first time that the tournament will be played in Twenty20 format.

Lasith Malinga, captain of defending champions Sri Lanka, along with India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the host nation Mashrafe Mortaza and UAE captain Amjad Javed showed the trophy at the unveiling ceremony.

India will take on host Bangladesh in the tournament opener in Dhaka on Wednesday.
