Manohar resigned from the BCCI top post on May 10 after a seven-month tenure and was then elected unopposed as the ICC chairman on May 12.

Manohar took over the post after the sudden death of the then BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya.

Thakur is all set to take over the reins from Manohar at a time when the cricket board is facing tough times following the Supreme Court’s order to implement the Justice R.M. Lodha committee's recommendations.
