New Delhi, Jan 11 (CRICKETNMORE): India 'A' strength and conditioning trainer Anand Date was on Wednesday appointed the national cricket team's trainer replacing incumbent Shankar Basu, who will miss the upcoming limited overs series against England and the solitary Test against Bangladesh.

"BCCI would like to inform that Team India strength and conditioning trainer Shankar Basu has opted for a break from the ODIs, T20Is against England and one-off Test match to be played against Bangladesh in February for personal reasons," the Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement.

"Anand Date has been appointed the strength and conditioning trainer of the Indian team for these series," the statement added.

India will lock horns against England in three One-day Internationals, starting January 15 in Pune and followed by as many T20 Internationals.

The Virat Kohli-led outfit will then face Bangladesh in a one-off Test in Bengaluru in February.
