Feb. 5 (CRICKETNMORE) - The second season of the highly successful Pakistan Super League is scheduled to begin on Thursday, 9 February. The 2017 Pakistan Super League will be be played between February 9 to March 5. While the league matches will be played in Dubai, its final will take place in Lahore

Like previous edition, this year also five team will compete for the tile. A totla of 24 matches will be played.

Teams

Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.

Each team will play each other twice in the league stage of the tournament in a double round robin format. Top four teams will then advance to playoffs. The team finishing on top of the points table will face second-placed side in the first playoff.

In the second playoff, third and fourth placed teams will face each other for a berth in the third playoff. Team losing the second playoff will get eliminated, and the winner will face the loser of the first playoff.

Winners of the first and third playoff will clash in the final for the title.
