Two-time World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh announced his retirement from all formats of cricket today. Although the legendary off-spinner hadn't played international cricket for the last six years, he continued to play IPL.

Harbhajan said," Although I had made up my mind from retiring a long time back but couldn't announce. I wasn't playing cricket for a while but due to the commitment with Kolkata Knight Riders, I wanted to be with them for the IPL but during the season only I had decided to retire."

Soon after Harbhajan announced his decision, the cricket fraternity began to congratulate the 41-year-old for his successful career where he took over 700 wickets across formats in international cricket. 

Youngster Shubman Gill, who also played with him in Punjab and KKR in IPL, described Harbhajan as a player who gave it all and never backed down.
