Dubai, May 1 (IANS) Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was fined $20,000 for maintaining a slow over rate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium here Wednesday.

Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Sharma was fined $20,000, said a statement.

The Indians lost their fifth successive match in the seventh edition of the IPL to the Sunrisers by 15 runs.
