Dubai: International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced World Twenty20 Eleven on the basis of recently concluded T20 World Cup 2014 performance.

Indian captain MS Dhoni has been assigned the responsibility of leading the World Eleven.The team includes four players from India, two from both South Africa and West Indies, and one representative each from Sri Lanka, Australia and Netherlands.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ashwin are the other players from India who have been selected. Other members include Daren Sammy, Samual Badree and Krishmar Santoki from West Indies,  Dale Styn & J P Dumminy from South Africa, Lasith Malinga from Sri Lanka Side, Maxwell from Australia, and Stephen Myberg from Netherlands.Interestingly, World XI does not have any player form Pakistan.

“It was a very difficult task for the panel to pick a team of 11 from the exciting players who featured in this tournament,” former Australia batsman David Boon, the chairman of the ICC selection panel, said in a statement.

12th player: Krishmar Santokie (West Indies)
