7th May, Delhi - Kolkata beat Delhi by 8 wickets

Brilliant half century by skipper Gautam Gambhir (69) steer Kolkata Knight Riders to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Chasing a modest 161 for victory, Gambhir and Robin Uthappa (47) opening partnership provided a perfect winning platform as Kolkata chased the target with 10 balls remaining. Later on Manish Pandey (23*) played the perfect supporting role to ensure the team win.

Quote

Gautam Gambhir (Man of the Match) - "It was crucial to win the game today especially after the loss in the last game. It was important to hold our heads and bat right through to chase it down. Luckily it was me today and I am happy with the batting. Robin has been batting really well and we weren't thinking of taking too many risks at the start. We gave a few many runs at the death but these things happen. Overall, happy with the comeback and hope it continues.'
