Quotes

Robin Uthappa (Man of the Match): I am glad as I am able to contribute to this win. The crowd has been fantastic, one of my favourite grounds in the country. Also a lucky ground for me. The dew factor helped a bit, the wicket got better. The outfield is fast too. I wanted to play to the merit of the ball. When you play T20, you lose shape technically. I am working on that so that you can just time the ball well. It was sensible by Manish to hold on end up. Shakib was brilliant. Manish had good presence of mind, he complimented Shakib very well. We are playing here after a long time. We wanted to get off on the right foot.

Gautam Gambhir: It looks like it was a pretty professional performance today. Shakib batted really well. As I said, we did not see this much grass on the track, it was a beautiful track to bat on. Chasing is working for us, no point in changing it when it is working. We are not thinking too ahead. We are taking each game differently and hopefully we continue what we did today. We have quality spinners, the pitch wont matter when the spinners are so good. The fast bowlers did today, special mention for them.

MS Dhoni: Bad toss to lose, The wicket got better in the second innings, the bowlers created opportunities but we did not take the catches. I dont want to say in public what I told the team, but I wanted to gather them together and keep our eyes on the target. Raina did very well, it was another good innings. He batted really well. we were about 10-15 runs short. The spinners bowled well.
