22nd May, Hyderabad beat Chennai by 6 wickets. A brilliant run chase by Sunrisers Hyderabad kept the team hopes alive for the IPL-7 play-offs. Chasing down a massive target of 190, Hyderabad openers laid the foundation with a solid partnership of 116 before Warner departs for a superb 90. However, then it was Dhawan who took on the role and made sure he was there for the team till the finish.

Quotes

David Warner (Man of the Match): Credit to Shikhar for his fifty. He played well. It is good that he has got a good knock today. I love batting at the top of the order. I was asked to bat in the middle, I did my best there. I love the opening spot and the coaches asked me to go back to that today. I was trying to like David Miller and Maxwell who are hitting them long!

Darren Sammy: We did well in the last two games. It is a good thing we bowled first. Credit to Warner and Dhawan in the way they came out and batted. We are looking for ways to improve as a team. his strike rate at the top of the order is much better and we hope it is not too late here. The team does well when he performs well.

MS Dhoni: It is something that we have to address. We have had a few matches on good surfaces and we lost those matches easily. Most of our regular bowlers played those games, and we need to address that one. The best thing to do maybe to chase every game. I think I ate up quite a few deliveries today, we needed to do more in the middle overs. 180 was under par. 190-195 was a par score. But the way the opposition scored, maybe 230 was a safe score. If it is a good wicket, we are losing quite easily. We need to work on that. We will try our best in the next game.
