13th May, Bangalore - Bangalore beat Delhi by 16 runs

Yuvraj Singh silenced his critics by smashing a magnificient half century (68*) as his team Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils by 16 runs in the Indian Premier League match at Bangalore on Tuesday night.

Scorecard - Delhi Vs Bangalore

Yuvraj Singh: It is not twice in a row, we lost the last game. It was hurting, it was important to win this. I took the form to this game, tried to be calm and focussed and treat each ball on merit. I started well, I scored 50 off 28 balls, I just kept working hard. I need to believe myself. Vettori, Murali and all the seniors believed me. I am very happy, I wanted to come to a place where I can be myself, Bangalore allow me to do that. Thanks to the owners for believing in me.

Virat Kohli: It feels amazing. We badly wanted the win. We were taking one game at a time. We were good with bat and ball, we need to work on the fielding. It is important not to panic. We panicked in the last four overs. I told my bowlers to back themselves. In T20 we get hit, but we should believe in ourselves. We won by about 20 runs. Lot of people wrote Yuvraj off, but he has come back in style. All those who doubted him can now put those doubts to rest. I am not thinking too far ahead. We need to go to the dressing room and think about what to do. Hopefully things fall in place, it is important to stay in the present.

Kevin Pietersen: Yuvraj batted like a superstar. He has had his share of criticism. He is proving it wrong and it is good to see him play. There maybe an outside chance to make it, but we need to be practical. We need to build for next season. We were undone by some incredible hitting from Yuvraj. It is hard to defend here. I think what we did was right.
