Orange Cap Award Winners in IPL

The Orange Cap is an annual cricket award presented to the leading run scorer in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament. Shaun Marsh became the first winner of the award when he won it in the first edition of the popular league in 2008. Present below is the list of Orange Cap Award Winner in all editions of IPL:

IPL 2016

Virat Kohli of  Royal Challengers Bangalore won the Orange Cap Award for leading run-scorer in the ninth edition of the IPL in 2016. The right handed opener scored 973 runs in 16 matches at an average of 81.08 and strike rate of 152.03. This includes 4 centuries and 7 fifties. He hit 83 fours and 38 sixes.

IPL 2015

David Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Orange Cap Award for leading run-scorer in the eight edition of the IPL in 2015. The left handed opener scored 562 runs in 14 matches at an average of 43.23 and strike rate of 156.54. This includes  7 fifties. He hit 65 fours and 21 sixes.

IPL 2014

Robin Uthappa of Kolkata Knight Riders won the Orange Cap Award for leading run-scorer in the seventh edition of the IPL in 2014. The right handed opener scored 660 runs in 16 matches at an average of 44 and strike rate of 137.78. This includes  5 fifties. He hit 74 fours and 16 sixes.
