Aug 29, New Delhi (CRICKETNMORE): Bangladesh will host Afghanistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from September 25 to October 1, 2016. Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be playing three One-Day Internationals. Three Sri Lankan cricket team bus attackers killed in Pakistan.

“This will be the first series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.  We are looking forward for an entertaining cricket to the cricket lovers of Bangladesh,” said Nasimullah Danish, the chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

“We are in close discussion with ICC full members and successfully completed many tours with ICC full members. Series of matches with ICC full members prove that, Afghanistan cricket secured decent spot in Cricketing world. It’s always good for our team development to test themselves in different conditions, and there’s no better place than Bangladesh to do that.” Jonathan Trott picks his all-time playing eleven.

Bangladesh has faced Afghanistan thrice in the international arena, twice in ODIs and once in a Twenty20 International. They met in 2014 Asia cup for the first time where Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 32 runs. They later met in the ICC World T20 2014 in Mirpur, with Bangladesh going on to win that game by nine wickets.

The most recent game between these two sides was in the ICC World Cup 2015 in Australia. Afghanistan, who was making its World Cup debut, lost by 105 runs.
