London, Feb 28 (CRICKETNMORE): Surrey fast bowler Tom Curran has been added to the England One-Day International (ODI) cricket squad in the Caribbean as back-up for Jake Ball, who injured his right knee in the warm-up victory over the WICB Presidents XI in St Kitts on Monday.

Curran has already started the long journey from Sri Lanka, where he has been part of the England Lions, to join the England squad in Antigua where they start a three-match series on Friday, according to England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)'s website.

The 21-year-old has taken 10 wickets in the Lions' two four-day matches against Sri Lanka A at an average of less than 19, watched by England selector Angus Fraser.

He also impressed previously with the Lions against Afghanistan and the UAE before Christmas, in last summer's home Tri-Series against Pakistan A and Sri Lanka A, and in T20 and 50-over series against Pakistan A in Dubai last winter.
