New Zealand batsmen were on top in the 1st T20I despite a poor start. Devon Conway led the charge with an unbeaten 99 to take the game away from Australia. He got good support from the middle order after the top order failed in the powerplay.

The bowlers, like batsmen, had a similar game as well. They were right on the money from the first ball and never let the Aussie batsmen dominate. Ish Sodhi was crucial with the ball as he took four wickets after Trent Boult and Tim Southee did their job with the new ball. New Zealand is unlikely to change their playing 11 for 2nd T20I.

Australian batsmen struggled to get going with the bat in the last game. It was an off-game for the batsmen. Mitchell Marsh's form was the only positive in the last game. There won't be much change in the batting lineup for the 2nd T20I.

Australian bowlers started well in the powerplay picking up three wickets early. However, they couldn't maintain the pressure on the batsmen in the middle and death overs. Kane Richardson might make way for Andrew Tye in the 2nd T20I.

New Zealand dominated Australia in the 1st T20I but they will be sure that the visitors will come back much stronger in the 2nd T20I. It could be a tight finish to the game in the 2nd T20I.
