This is the highest successful run chase without losing any wicket in ODIs. The previous highest was by New Zealand against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2015. England's previous highest successful chase without losing any wicket was 191 against Bangladesh at The Oval in 2005.

Alex Hales unbeaten 133 is the highest score by a England batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs. Earlier the record was by David Gower in Taunton in the 1983 World Cup.
