Ravi Shastri appointed Team India head coach till 2019 cricket World Cup ()
New Delhi, July 11 (CRICKETNMORE): Former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri was on Tuesday named the Indian cricket team's new head coach till the 2019 ICC World Cup.
Additionally, the board has also hired former pacer Zaheer Khan as the team's bowling consultant, while former captain Rahul Dravid would serve as batting consultant for overseas tours.
The decision was announced by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising former captains Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and veteran batting star V.V.S. Laxman on Tuesday, after the BCCI's Committee of Administrators (CoA) directed it to consult skipper Virat Kohli and announce the name of the coach at the earliest.
