India crushed NZ to celebrate 500th Test

Sept. 26 (CRICKETNMORE) - India crushed New Zealand by 197 at Green Park in Kanpur to celebrate 500th test. Virat Kohli and his team made this historic test more memorable with a brilliant team show. Check the test report summary:

# Indian captain ​Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat.

# Half Centuries from C Pujara (62) and M Vijay (65) helped India to post 318 in their first Innings. For Kiwis, T Boult and M Santner took 3 wickets each

# In reply, New Zealand were bundled out for 262 against some quality spin attack led by R Jadeja (5/73) & R Ashwin (4/93). New Zealand captain Kane Williamson remained the top scorer for the team with 75.

# India took the lead of 56 runs.

# ​Indian batting shinned in second innings and posted post 377/5 (dec.). M Vijay, C Pujara, R Sharma and R Jadeja scored fifties.

# New Zealand were given the target of 434 to win the test.

# New Zealand batting once again failed and were bowled out for 236/10. Ashiwn took 6/132 in the second innings and ended the test with 10 wickets. 

# For New Zealand only L Ronchi (80) and M Santner (71) were able to show some resistance.

# Brief Score: India - 318/10 & 377/5 dec., New Zealand - 262/10 & 236/10​.

# Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant allround performance.
